The electronic media, like most modern structures, specialize in

cut-and-paste jobs intended to rationalize reality -- that is, to force

reality into an abstract form. It isn't surprising that so much anxiety

runs through our societies. People feel attached to the uncontrollable

images and yet are drowning in them. Their fear swells while

technology continues to progress, leaving humans behind as a mere

viewers and the viewed...
